Beyond the Gates gave questionable relationships unfold that have left fans in disbelief in 2025. At the center of these toxic romances stands Tomas Navarro (Alex Alegria), who found himself entangled in relationships with sisters Kat Richardson (Colby Muhammad) and Eva Thomas (Ambyr Michelle), leading to a complex and messy love triangle that left viewers questioning his intentions. 

BTG added to the drama with Hayley Lawson Hamilton (Marquita Goings) and her husband Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett) have been causing quite a stir. Hayley's scheming and plotting to kill Bill for a large sum of money have left fans on the edge of their seats. Meanwhile, Bill's actions have not been innocent either, making their relationship one of the most toxic of the season.

The Gates offered the pairing of Ashley Morgan (Jen Jacob) and Andre Richardson (Sean Freeman) and that situation is another couple that never quite took off. Despite the attraction and flirtation, their timing was always off, leading to an ill-fated romance. The same could be said for Vanessa McBride (Lauren Buglioli) and Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom), a relationship filled with thrill and deception that ultimately led to the death of Vanessa's husband, Doug McBride (Jason Graham).

Beyond the Gates fans reflect on the worst romance of the season undoubtedly belongs to Leslie Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant) and Ted Richardson (Keith D. Robinson). Their past filled with deceit and betrayal, coupled with their recent rekindling, has made their relationship the most toxic of Beyond the Gates' inaugural season.
